Huawei Band 6 Overview

Huawei Band 6 comes as the successor to the Huawei Band 4. It is an updated edition of its predecessor that comes with a few tweaks and changes. The fitness band is the rebadged version of Honor Band 6 that was launched in China last year.Â
Design/Display

Starting off with the design of Huawei Band 6, it is very different from regular fitness bands, it is almost like a smartwatch. The Huawei Band 6 has a physical button on the side for navigation like the Watch Fit. It has a dimension of 43 × 25.4 × 10.99mm(HxWxD) and weighs only 18 gm without straps. The straps of the fitness bands are made of UV-treated silicone rubber.
Huawei Band 6 flaunts a large 1.47 inches FullView Color AMOLED touch screen display along with a resolution of 194×368 pixels. It also comes with a 64% screen-to-body ratio, and 282 PPI density. The size of the display area has increased by 148 % and the screen-to-body ratio has increased by 42 % in comparison with its predecessor. Huawei Band 6 boasts a huge variety of watch face designs which is accessible via the Huawei Watch Face Store. The fitness band also supports 4-way touchscreen controls.
Huawei Band 6 Fitness FeaturesÂ
All-day SpO2 Monitoring

One of the highlighting features of Huawei Band 6 is the All day SpO2 monitoring that monitors our blood oxygen saturation 24/7. If the oxygen drops too low the band will vibrate, so you can take time out to breathe and regain your equilibrium. It is very useful in the current scenario, one can keep the track of their oxygen level in their body and proceed for further medication if needed.
24/7 Heart Rate Monitoring and Sleep Tracking

Huawei Band 6 comes with a TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring technology that uses an optical lens and AI-based data processing to accurately monitor our heart rate for 24 hours a day. We will be alerted instantly when the heart rate drops below or rises above safe levels. It is one of the best things for your fitness and health.
It also arrives with the sleep tracking feature. There is TruRelax Stress monitoring and TruSleep 2.0 sleep monitoring that tracks deep sleep, light sleep, REM, and even short napping. It analyzes your sleep quality in real-time, identifies your everyday sleep habits, etc. They will also provide you over 200 personalized assessment suggestions for a better night’s sleep.
Workout Modes

Huawei Band 6 arrives with an impressive 96 different workout modes on it. All the data can be stored and analyzed in easy-to-read graphs via Huawei Health app. One can chart their fitness journey and set goals to inspire themselves.

Other features of the fitness tracker include Menstrual cycle tracking(not supported on iOS), personal assistant, 6-axis accelerometer and gyroscope sensors, notifications for calls, messages, controlling music(not on iOS), taking photos through the phone camera(only on EMUI 8.1+ devices), and more. It also comes with a 5 ATM water-resistance rating so you won’t have to worry about it getting wet while on swimming pools and using water.
Battery Life and Connectivity

The band is backed by a 180 mAh battery that charges via the included magnetic charger. As far as endurance is concerned, the company claims that it provides up to 14 days of battery life in typical usage and lasts only for 10 days in case of heavy usage. You can get 2 days of use from just 5 minutes of charging time with a magnetic charger. So, don’t worry about the battery loss and use it freely.
Talking about the connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0 & BLE. The fitness tracker is compatible with phones that run on Android 6 and later or iOS 9.0 and later. It also has other basic functions such as weather, music playback controls, alarm, call alerts, app notifications, camera shutter control, etc.
